"My Name is Kevin Hawkins, I am a family man with five children ranging from 14 to 24 years all living at home. I was a member of the Victorian Police Force for a period of 11 years. I then progressed to the Electronics Department of the force, where my IT career began.
I class myself as a Hardware Engineer with a solid knowledge of most computer related hardware. As time progressed, I have had to adapt to the changing software and networking environments which include, DOS, Xenix, Unix, Pathworks, HP UX, Novel, Lanmanager, and more recently the Windows environment of 98, 2000, NT and XP.
Over the years, I have managed service departments, as well as been responsible for the support of a state-wide chain of Mitre 10 Hardware Stores. I have also been responsible for the service and support of several large Real Estate companies within the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I was recently employed by Locktronic Systems, as a Hardware Manager. I was also the in house system administrator for the company’s computer network. Unfortunately, the Company was put into receivership and thus Ambroke was conceived."
