Nine Dots Leadership is the organisation that Ian Ralston formed to provide consultancy to businesses that want to focus on cultural transformation and become "full-spectrum" organisations. We do this using a number of methodologies; Corporate Transformation Tools (CTT), Appreciative Inquiry and the Values-Based Leadership: Business Simulation.
 
These tools allow us to measure your culture organisation wide, in teams and individually. We then help you to identify your core values, share how those values are demonstrated in your company and visualise how your organisation would look at its best.
 
The Values-Based Leadership is a board simulation experience that supports executives and managers in understanding how to build a values-driven culture by exploring the relationships between values, culture and financial performance.

Ian Ralston


Ian's ability to think laterally and outside the square manifests itself in the business name.

Ian is an advocate for the promotion of Values Driven organisations. After being inspired by Richard Barrett's book "Unleash the Corporate Soul", Ian underwent training in the Corporate Transformation Tools (CTT) Methodology.

On a personal level Ian is a "Baby-boomer", growing up with technology. Ian started in the computer industry when they were "steam driven and he was a stoker". He is a graduate from University of South Africa (UNISA) School of Business Leadership's Advanced Executive program.

Through his work in Information Technology Ian has worked with many different industries including motor, health, insurance, local government, mining, defence and major IT organisations.

At Nine Dots Leadership we offer the following services:

  • We elicit the values of people across an organisation, from frontline staff to senior management. And we identify areas of alignment and misalignment within the organisation.
  • Next we use a values process that empowers individuals and organisations to discover their own core values that drive behaviour, and helps them enunciate their personal vision and mission.
  • Using Appreciative Inquiry, we enable organisations to generate self-sustaining strategies based on the core values. These strategies lead to improved performance and a heightened awareness of the value, strength and talents of the organisation and employees.
  • We also facilitate a values based leadership simulation.
  • We offer values assessments to universities and schools, private and public. A key advantage of this approach is that it introduces students to the concept of discussing and negotiating around values.
