Ian Anderson B Com, CPA, JP Qual, Registered Tax Agent
Ian purchased the business in 1997. His 15 years experience in accounting has given him a wealth of knowledge and experience in a broad range of industries including Primary Production, the Building Industry, Services to the Tourism Industry, PNG Individual and Business Tax Return preparation, Auditing of Small Clubs and Societies, Trust Account Audits and all aspects of Self Managed Superannuation Funds.

Having been born and bred in the Cairns and Gordonvale area gives Ian an indepth knowledge of local issues affecting his clients.

Ian is married to Kyleen(who works in the practice) and has two daughters, Alisha & Emma.

Interests include Touch Football, Rotary and helping out occasionally on family owned cane farms.

Werner Drescher B Com
Werner became a member of our team in 2000.

He graduated in 1988 at James Cook University (Townsville) with a Bachelor of Commerce. Werner gained initial training working for a local big 6 accounting practice for 3 years. He has travelled overseas, working in London for a year doing accounting in various companies.

Werner also helped to successfully run the family local supermarket for 3½ years.

He loves to read, especially histories.

Michael Kennedy B Com
Mike is married to Kathy and has two boys. He is heavily involved with the boys’ sport and is assistant Junior Golf Co-ordinator in Cairns.

He has worked for the Commonwealth Bank for 22 years, covering Customer Service, Lending plus staff and office management.

Mike completed his Diploma in Business (Accounting) in 2000. He then worked in a local business as an Office Manager for 3 years. This experience covered all aspects of MYOB, plus debtor and creditor control and payroll.

He obtained further qualifications in 2003 through James Cook University (Cairns) with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). He has been employed by Edge Hill Accountancy since December 2002 and is currently undertaking the CPA professional accreditation course.
